Dry lining is a system for cladding the internal faces of buildings, such as walls and ceilings. Plasterboard is then attached to the internal faces, creating a smooth surface that finishes can be applied to directly.
DRY LINING & PLASTERBOARD PARTITIONS
The term dry lining strictly applies to the use of plasterboard to replace a sand and cement or wet plaster finish to internal blockwork, although its use has become more broadly associated with internal fit out throughout the building. Bamco ltd provides an economical, high-performance option that meets a broad range of construction requirements. Dry lining has become increasingly popular due to its ease of construction and flexibility offered to the architect or designer to accommodate specialist design features while integrating the practical requirements of fire and acoustic performance.
Partitioning is the quick way to turn an empty shell into a functional working interior, ideal for commercial and office environments. When completed by professionals it’s fast, comparatively low cost and combined with dry lining, suspended ceilings, and good design it will last you solidly for many years. Metal stud partitions are non-load bearing internal partitions, suitable for all types of housing, commercial and retail developments.
Bamco constructs these systems to any specification and can be single or doubled boarded each side with a plasterboard type to suit any individual requirement. These can be installed to suit particular arrangements and can include faceted or curved layouts. In addition, these can be combined with a range of insulations to enhance their acoustic and thermal qualities.

We work closely with all of the major plasterboard and metal manufacturers to provide the technical requirements for each project. To date, we have installed hundreds of thousands of linear meters of partitions. Landmark projects include the design and installation of 2hour fire rated, 70db partitions for Wexford Courthouse.
NOTEABLE ADVANTAGES
There are several advantages with this method compared to traditional plastering or skimming: quicker application time on site, minimal drying time, no loading out and mixing of plastering materials, no subsequent drying out cracks, more cost-effective, etc.
